The Spot Reduction Myth – Why You Can’t Lose Fat From Just One Part Of Your Body

If there’s one thing about fat loss that always annoys me, it’s the junk and lies that are perpetuated by the mainstream media.

If you pick up just about any consumer magazine or book out there (with a few notable exceptions), you’re likely to find all manner of crap being spewed at you.

Here are some examples:

“Do crunches to lose belly fat”

ab exercises

“Sit on that weird inner thigh machine to lose fat from the inside of your legs”

Adductor Inner Thigh Machine

“Do tiny isolation exercises like tricep kickbacks to tone up your arms”

tricep-kickback

Lies, lies, LIES!!! All of it!

I read this stuff and feel like contacting the authors to ask why they are deceiving people without checking their facts first!

The truth is that exercises like the ones above are either useless, dangerous, or both.

But I’m not even going to get into the exercises themselves in this post.

Instead, I want to talk about the myth of spot reduction.

What is spot reduction and why should you know about it if you want avoid making some HUGE fat loss mistakes?

Watch the video below to find out:

The REAL and only way to lose fat from a given area is to lose it from your ENTIRE body all at once. Your problem areas may be the slowest to respond, but they’ll get there.

Just remember to focus on a total body fat loss solution, not just a small spot reduction one.

Hope that helps! If you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment below.

Take care,

Yudi

How To Fix ‘Problem Areas’ And Lose Fat From Your Whole Body At The Same Time

How Do I Lose Fat From Just One Area Of My Body?

And that’s only natural because we all have ‘problem areas’ that we’d love to get rid of more than anything else.

My first response when people ask me how to lose fat from a particular body part is:
